Likes:
-Antique photographs, his mind still boggles over the sepia moving photos. Even better his Polaroid camera from home that he enchanted to create the same photos.
-GIrls that are out of his league.
-Knitted jumpers... The really old fashioned hand knitted ones. Oh and the spell that he learnt to make his own, he loves that spell.
-Getting a spell on the first try. Doesn't happen all that often, but when it does hahoo.
-Making snow angles
Dislikes:
-Getting sick from making snow angles.
-Reality checks, he's sick of hearing what he can and (but mostly) can't do
- Conflict
-Other peoples music... It's unbelievable that everybody around him has such horrible taste.
- Sports, small guy like him doesn't belong on a football field.
Strengths:
-Academia and study
-Charms (after a bit of practice)
-Persistence, his mother says that it is his most beautiful characteristic.
-Memory, he can site paragraphs from books easily. To bad he doesn't have the same sort of muscle memory.
-Unique gift giving. He's a bit of a hit at birthdays and on Christmas.
- Arriving on time, he can never remember being late or tardy in his life.
b]Weaknesses:[/b]
-Potions, that pit of stress in his stomach is from potions... It can't be healthy.
-Saving, Mr. Blow it all has a problem saying no when he's shopping.
-Bullying, it stays with him for a while.
-Homesickness, his whole family are muggle.
-Very self conscious, he usually talks himself out of an idea before the people he shares it with.
Amortentia: melting chocolate, sea breeze and an old library.
Dementor: The day his sister was accepted into Cambridge and the worried look his father gave him.
Boggart: Raging Wild Elephant
Veritaserum: His jealousy of the praise his sister gets. Just because she's muggle like their parents.
Personality:
Hogwarts was a shock to the system. Picture any 11 year old boy being told that he's magic. Then being shipped away to the mainland to go to boarding school when he had barely ever left the village he grew up in. Then imagine being teased and picked on because of a blood status... His first year of school was a mess of homesickness, anxiety and failing to grasp even the easiest magical concepts.
It got easier though, and each year he returned he learnt more about the magical world, and his place in it. The only thing that still upsets him about it is that his parents have no idea what he's talking about, when he tells them all of the things that he's achieved. Just quietly he's a little jealous of his sister, the muggle who is attending the third most prestigious university in England, with parents who couldn't be prouder, while he works so hard on getting good marks that don't even matter (to his parents at least).
Sure his family still loves him but he has a feeling of isolation to them now. He's friends are the closet people to him now. He loves the friends that he has made here, and it really does make the Hogwarts from 6 years ago so different to the Hogwarts he lives in now.
He would do anything for a friend in need, I mean sure he's a small guy, quiet, patient and scared of confrontation... but he could maybe be handy in a fight, or maybe be able to find a way to talk everybody down. And he would probably stick up for someone against a bully... if it was just verbal bullying.[/size]

Hair color: Dark hair, usually combed to this side, or slicked back.
Eye color: Brown eyes, just like everyone else. Nathan seems to be just like everybody else...
Facial structure: His mother tells him his handsome, but he has delicate features for a man. His cheekbones are high and prominent, and he's even been mistaken as Asian (and not just once.) Even though he's as pale as they come.
Body structure: Nathan is tall... Or at least average height for a guy, but he is very thin.
Clothing Choice: Nathan likes tight fitted jeans, turns out being thin means you can pull them off. He sticks to colours like brown, black and grey. He usually finishes an outfit with a knitted jumper, maybe some aztec print.

Mother: Merril Anderson, 38, homemaker.
Father: Michael Anderson, 40, Law firm partners
Siblings: Sophie Anderson, 19, Student and Cambridge University.
History:
Nathans family is the one family in the village that were always there. He can never remember going anywhere on a family vacation further than the city that his father worked in (which was a 20 minute drive away). Sometimes he hated it, being in the village every single dayy with nothing new to do, but now that he's away from it.. He really misses it.
His Mother is a nice person, no really she;s very nice. She can get along with anyone, never rude and never says no when asked a favour. She she was younger a lot of boys mistook her personality as her making a connection with them... A small pretty girl like her would get asked out a lot, though she had no intention of dating... That is until Michael came along (at just the right time some people say) and she was swept of her feet.
His father is a laser in the city outside their village. The job allows for his family to live comfortably on the single salary, and for him to home each night for dinner (Which he liked, seeing as he had to leave far before sharing breakfast with his kids). Being a lawer wasn't always his dream, but as he tells Nathan, its not about your dreams, it's about whats practical.
His sister is at Cambridge University to study accounting, making both of his parents so proud. Its like the spot light of attention is shining on just her, and he is left out at the dark as he attends a school that his parents just have no idea about. Sophie made her life about study... A little bit like her mother, small and pretty and very nice but not dating.

Sixth year, wow time does fly. Nathan straightened his Aztec print jumper (it was a little bit lumpy, his knitting spell wasn't quiet mastered yet) and picked up his trunk. The usual chaos of the magically hidden platform bustled all around him. Owls screaming out as cats pounced along luggage, mothers yelling out to their youngest, younger stunts who weren't allowed to practice magic out in the muggle word finally letting off some steam (literally). Nathan narrowly missed the burst of hot moist air erupting from a second years wand, and side stepped a toad, lonely on the ground. He scrunched up his face at the though of the animal being run over by any one of the heavy luggage carts, but put the thought out of his mind as he scoured the crowds for any sort of familiar face.
The scarlet train stood, glistening and strong as ever on the tracks, waiting to the rowdy students to step aboard. As he made his way through the crowds, he could catch snip-its of conversations. It seemed that the crowd was alive with the buzz of returning to school for a new year. Nathan was worried though, after his fifth year, and not achieving the results that he wanted from exams he had vowed to do better. It was almost a blessing really that his parents didn't understand the way that the way that Hogwarts Graded, they didn't need to see his 'barely scrapped by with a pass' type of grades. He made a vow with himself that he would do better. Study harder, pick up an extra curricular activity... Maybe even join the quidditch team. He needed to be a whole new student this year. Make it count.
The train was much more quiet inside, with all the choas outside, most of the other students were too busy losing luggage and pets. Being so early aboard he has his pick of a few empty carriages, he quickly slipped into an empty one and hoped that his friends would come to find him.
