The library was a one of the perfect places to study when one didn't wish to disturbed. The Slytherin wasn't a total gun ho on studying for every minute of every hour of every day like the Ravenclaws, but when wanted to get work down it was the place to go. However, on this evening Aiden just stared at the blank parchment of paper. The words to her essay that was due in the morning was not flowing forth. The feather of her quill tickled under her chin as if she was in deep thought. She wasn't.
Aiden had lost her parents over the summer holiday. The pain and saddness she had felt still lingered, still fresh. Touching the locket around her next before leaning back in her seat and opening it up to see her parents smiling faces looking up at her. She closed the locket quickly when she felt the tears building up and wiped them away quickly. This wasn't the place to allow those emotions to show. Tucking the locket into her shirt she pulled the book closed to her, okay she could do this.
Picking up her quill again and dipped it into the ink before she started to write anything regarding the subject of the essay. She got a good half parchment in before the flow stopped and she was back to square one. ”Guh…” She said out loud which earned her a ‘shh’ from behind the stakes of books. ”Oh shh yourself.” Putting down her quill and stood up, maybe a walk around the books would help clear her mind. Aiden walked through the small narrow aisle of books looking at the titles and pulled one out “Charms for the Charmer”. The name amused her and she opened it up to see what was inside.
