Personality:

Vivian is a borderline sociopath. She doesn't feel things like other people do, has a reduced sensitivity to any emotion, and lacks empathy or the ability to feel guilt. She is egocentric, and focuses on herself rather than other people. This all stems from an abusive childhood.

One thing Vivian can't stand is loneliness and boredom, and will often seek out people to keep her entertained. Most people irritate Vivian, and she only has one close friend. She likes to manipulate, and to get her own way. Vivian doesn't feel guilt, and so has no scruples about what she does to get what she wants. A part of her assumes that everyone is that way, so its okay; she'll focus on getting what she wants, and other people will focus on getting what they want. She is amoral.

Vivian is part Veela, and loves it. She loves being beautiful, because it enables her to get what she wants. People will do things for her to make her happy, or to get her to like them. Vivian knows she is beautiful, but in contrast to this she isn't vain. Her beauty doesn't have intrinsic value to her, and doesn't make her happy. She feels as though she is better than other girls because she has something they all put such a high premium on.

Vivian is dyslexic, but no one knows about it, not even her teachers. She doesn't want to ever show a weakness. People assume that she is lazy or stupid, or that she just doesn't care about getting good marks because she's pretty enough to use her looks to get ahead in life. Vivian finds school work boring, and makes sure to play that up. She makes sure that everyone knows she thinks school work is boring and a waste of time, and that she just doesn't want to do it, so that no one knows that really its because she can't. Her teachers become exasperated with her easily, and dislike her. People sometimes call Vivian stupid, because her school work is almost the only chink in her armour.

History:
Vivian's mother was half Veela, and very beautiful. Her father was a pure blooded wizard, and her mother was a Veela, who left after Alena was born. Alena always identified herself as a pure blood, despite being technically half breed. When she was seventeen she began a relationship with a man 6 years her senior, a prominent and powerful pure blood wizard named Jack Blackwell. Jack was a cruel and heartless man, and didn't care for Alena at all. She fell pregnant, and at the time it was quite the scandal. Vivian's Father left them before Vivian was even born. Alena raised Vivian alone, taking money from her parents and by moving from rich man to rich man, using them for their money. When Vivian was 3 her mother married Marc Woods, an extremely wealthy and prominent pure blood wizard.

Vivian was just as beautiful as her mother, if not more. Her mother resented her, as she saw how strong the Veela gene was in her daughter, and saw that she had her youth stretching in front of her, while her own was fading away. Her mother stopped paying attention to Vivian, and she was raised by a nanny.

As Vivian got older, her step father started paying her a lot of attention. Her mother saw this, and was furious. She would hit Vivian, telling her she was bad. Her step father started to molest her, and her mother, rather than help her child, hated her even more. Years of Vivian's childhood were spent in a cycle of molestations and beatings, until finally her mother decided to take her husband away from her daughter. They went travelling, and left Vivian at home with a nanny and a tutor. Vivian hardly ever saw them, for which she was glad. This has had a profound effect on Vivian. She is a borderline sociopath, and doesn't feel any empathy. She hardly feels anything, most of the time. She grew up without any friends, but never wanted any.

When Vivian came to Hogwarts she was instantly hated and admired. Girls hated her, and Vivian loved it. She could be very charming when she wanted to be, and would do anything to make things go her own way. At first people bullied her, because she was so different, but one person quickly put a stop to that. Vivian made friends with Theodore Nott, a Slytherin boy in the year above her. Theo took her under his wing, and the two of them grew extremely close in the following years. Theo is the only one of her school mates Vivian respects, and the only person she can spend an indefinite amount of time with.


Vivian soon discovered when she arrived at Hogwarts that she couldn't do her school work like the other children. But she couldn't stand anyone knowing she had a weakness, so she simply proclaimed that school work was boring and pointless, and that she didn't care about it. She almost never did her homework, and progressed through school by the skin of her teeth.

During the war, Vivian and her family remained neutral. They hoped Voldemort would win, as it would support them as Pure Bloods, but they stayed out of it. It just wasn't in their best interests to get involved.
