Dementor: “Once, in second year, I might have gotten in a bit of trouble with my mouth – it was this Slytherin boy, a fifth year I think, he’s long gone and graduated now, but see… I may have insulted the fact that he had tripped over a stone in the hall. He overreacted, really, but before I knew it, wands were out, it wasn’t pretty. It ended with him petrifying me. No real damage, but it was a couple hours before anyone came across me, and it was the most frightening thing I’ve ever experienced. Can you imagine? Not being able to move a thing but your eyes, no words, nothing. For two whole hours. My heart was thudding. I hated it! Ever since then, I’ve been just absolutely terribly frightened of that happening, more permanently. Yeeesh.”
Boggart: Being paralyzed – not dying, not living, being stuck without movement, without voice… without… anything.
Veritaserum: “I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing, ninety percent of the time. I’m all talk – the only action is getting me out of trouble… I’m always winging everything.”
Personality:
First and foremost, it’s important to know that Alice is a talker. Not only does she talk – but when she does, it tends to be a long and winding road. It isn’t that she just loves to hear her own voice, in fact… she’s generally rather unaware just how many words she is using to say the simplest of things. The reason she speaks in that manner is just that it’s what makes sense to her head: Alice doesn’t exactly think things through when she speaks; or for that matter, when she acts, and both these things tend to lead her straight into trouble. Thankfully, the Gryffindor girl is more than capable of handling herself in unpleasant positions… a skill born both innately and through necessity, as she grew up with her big mouth dropping her into rather sticky situations.
Alice hates being still. She’s constantly on the move – if she’s sitting in class, then it’s a given that she’s doodling, tapping her fingers, wriggling her toes, and moving her head around, just to keep everything going. She is truly a little bundle of energy, and she always has been. She’s an incredibly happy girl, and is most often described by her friends as “bubbly,” though once when her mother heard that description, she laughed and corrected it with the word “frothy,” a testimony to her bursting energy and constant motion. She prefers class like potions, and herbology, that are almost entirely active courses; however, she is rather pitiful at both subjects, and requires tutoring by friends (very, very patient friends) in both.
Alice is one of those that will constantly stand up for her friends, or just for those being unfairly treated. And while Alice is indeed a pureblooded witch, she is a far, far cry from anything close to what the elitists of Slytherin House are. In fact, it’s those elitists with whom she is most often at odds. Her parents raised her to see the truth: all human beings, regardless of magical blood or abilities, are equals. Witches and wizards have magic – all of them, Muggleborn, half-blood, pureblood… they are have the same capacity for magic. And Muggles? They aren’t less because of their incapability to perform magic; Muggles have their own advances. They develop technologies that are comparable, or in some cases even beyond, to the conveniences magic affords the Wizarding population. Because of her parents’ raising, her own strong convictions, and her tendency to get herself into all that trouble, Alice ends up in quite a few entanglements with the elitists… but that’s alright with her.

Hair color: Alice’s hair is long, naturally straight, and a dark brown. She most often keeps it down, flowing over her shoulders. She does love to add things to her hair: such as small braids, accessories. Little things like that.
Eye color: Her eyes are a light, warm brown. Alice isn’t really a fan of her eyes – they’re kind of bland, and boring, but that does make it more fun to use eye makeup to make them more interesting, she supposes.
Facial structure: Alice has a sweet, round-shaped face, with an upturned nose and a refined bone structure that is evident in the apples of her cheeks.
Body structure: Petite Alice is the cute little sprite that giggles and talks too much. However, as a Quidditch player, her form is lithe and toned. In her younger years, she was a little bit pudgy, but once she started at Hogwarts and began flying, the few extra pounds melted away.
Clothing Choice: Making herself (and, on occasion, others) look good is one of Alice’s favorite pastimes. She loves to make-over her friends with her own wardrobe and cosmetics collection, and it isn’t a rare thing to see her doing it to herself as well, as sort of a self-reinvention when she’s feeling down. Fashion is one of Alice’s favorite things, and it shows. Even when wearing the dull, dreary Hogwarts uniform, Alice is never without a brightly colored accessory – whether in her hair, pinned to her chest, draped across her neck, or dangling from her belt, Alice is forever setting herself out from the crowd. She has a rather extensive collection of clothing in various styles – girly, denim, classic, trendy – in her trunk, and her tastes change from day to day, but be sure that it will always be adorable.

Mother: Melody Logan, 46, pureblood: journalist for The Daily Prophet
Father: Rydell Logan, 47, pureblood: Auror
Siblings: None
Other: Second cousin to the Prewett family.
History:
Alice Renee Logan was born to Melody and Rydell Logan at 2:47 a.m. on a Tuesday. March 28, 1961 to be exact, actually. Melody was a journalist who was working on stories from her forced bedrest right up until her water broke: fourteen hours before Alice was welcomed into this world, proclaiming her existence loudly. It was then that her parents knew two things: first off, they had the most beautiful, precious daughter on the face of the earth. Secondly – the little thing had a powerful set of lungs. Alice was a good baby. She cried a lot, sure, but overall, she didn’t throw fits too often, she was happy to be held by just about anyone, and she even took well to the babysitters when the two working parents had to hire them to take care of her.
Alice was an only child, and very well loved – even with both of her parents working quite a bit. Her parents raised her with love, devotion, and a strong sense of morality... and her dad threw in a few defensive lessons (both physically, and then later, magically) so that she could protect herself and the aforementioned morality. Alice grew up very aware of the situation outside her door. Not so much that it ruined her childhood, but as the daughter of both a journalist and an Auror, with both agreeing that it was not right to hide things (though the language, obviously, was rather watered down) from their young girl... Alice knew of the gathering tensions perhaps more immediately than the others in her classes, except for perhaps the purebloods whose parents were at the core of the problem. Another prominent part of Alice's childhood was, of course, her childhood hobbies. Alice was a girl with a short attention span, and she often went from pastime to pastime and back again within the same afternoon. Three things, however, dominated her childhood days: Quidditch, dress-up, and playing pretend. Alice kept her love of Quidditch (and of course flying) as well as her love of clothes - and, well, while she may not always use her mind before she speaks or acts, she is certainly no stranger to her own imagination, even today.
When she arrived at Hogwarts, she couldn't be more pleased at her sorting: both her parents had been Gryffindors during their years at the school, as well, and to write them of that exciting news had been first thing on her agenda after the feast. Of course, she didn't get a chance to owl off the letter til later in the week (after she had found the owlery, that is) but the letter had been written that very night. Throughout the years, Alice has gotten into a spot of trouble or two... or ten, but never anything that she honestly couldn't handle; her parents had taught her well, and she was a good student when it came to the physical parts of learning magic. She was gifted when it came to defense and dueling, and honestly... by the end of her third year, Alice had already known that becoming an Auror like her father was her goal. Now, in her seventh year, she is closer than ever to accomplishing it - if she can just keep out of terrible trouble, and manage to ace her N.E.W.T.s...
